I’m pleased to announce that the podcast is now on-line of my interview last night on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated radio show on U.S. China trade policy. Click here for a timely discussion with John and co-host Gordon G. Chang on the outlook for America’s approach to the People’s Republic as the Biden administration settles into office.

One especially interesting point: Although John seemed to focus on how China fell well short of meeting its commitments under Donald Trump’s Phase One trade deal to boost its purchases of American-origin goods and services, I pointed to some data indicating that the agreement produced some important achievements on this front.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcasts are now on-line of my two national radio interviews yesterday on U.S. trade policy under a Biden administration.  The special focus:  whether the United States should be worried that 14 Asia-Pacific countries – including all of America’s main regional allies – have just signed a Chinese-organized agreement to set up a free trade zone called the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

My appearance on Moe Ansari’s “Market Wrap with Moe” can be found at this site, and clicking on the play button of the “Current Market Wrap” (“Cold War with China”) episode.  The interview begins just before the 23-minute mark.

Meanwhile, the “John Batchelor Show” segment episode covering these subjects is located here.

Click here for a timely conversation among John, co-host Gordon G. I’m pleased to announce that I’m scheduled to return tonight to John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated radio show. On the agenda for John, me, and co-host Gordon G. Chang is what happens to the China trade and tech wars if Joe Biden becomes President. Indeed, will they even be waged seriously by Washington?

As has been the case throughout the CCP Virus pandemic, John taped this segment, and it’s not clear when exactly air time will be. But you can listen live on-line to the program at this link starting at 11 PM EST, and I’ll of course post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

In addition, it was great as always to be quoted on the same subject last Thursday on the Voice of America’s Chinese language network. For all you Mandarin speakers, here’s the link. Others (like me) will need to try an on-line translation program.

And keep checking in with RealityChek for news of upcoming media appearances and other developments.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m scheduled to return to national radio tonight when I guest on The John Batchelor Show.  The subjects for John, co-host Gordon G. Chang, and me will be China, trade, manufacturing, and the election.

The pandemic is still forcing John and Gordon to pre-record segments, so I’m not yet sure about air-time.  But it seems that you can listen live to the show on-line at this all-purpose link starting at 9 PM EST.  And of course, if you can’t tune in, I’ll post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

In addition, yesterday, I was interviewed on the popular Market Wrap with Moe Ansari radio show on the election (including the debate!), trade policy, the future of the entire U.S. economy, the fate of CCP Virus relief legislation, and a surprising recent example of collusion with Russia.  To listen to the podcast, click here and then on the show with my name on it.  My segment starts at about the 23:38 mark.

Finally, my friend Ted Galen Carpenter has just published in the Cato Journal a fascinating piece on the history of U.S. news coverage of U.S.-China relations – which certainly has seen its ups and downs in recent decades.  It was great, moreover, to see Ted cite two of my writings along the way.  Here’s the link.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcasts of my interviews Wednesday on national and New York City radio are now available on-line for your listening pleasure!

The first, on Frank Morano’s program on New York City’s WABC-AM, dealt with indications that the Chinese government is funding a Black Lives Matter-type group.  Listen by clicking here, and then on the September 23 link.  My segment begins at about the 31-minute mark.  And special bonuses!  We get into the fine points of the New York City Major League Baseball scene, and sound off on a running debate on Mexican cuisine!

The second, on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated nightly show, covers the latest developments in the intensifying U.S.-China economic conflict, how it may affect the U.S. presidential election – and vice versa.  Click here for a timely discussion among John, co-host Gordon G. Chang, and me.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be appearing on major radio stations twice today.  The first interview, with Frank Morano on New York City’s WABC-AM, is slated to air at 10:40 AM EST, and will focus on China’s efforts to interfere with this year’s U.S. presidential election and in American politics more broadly.  Click here and then on the link at the top of the home page to listen live on-line.

The second will air tonight on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated program.  The exact time is still up in the air, since John has needed to pre-record segments during the CCP Virus period.  But the subject will be an update on the rapidly intensifying U.S.-China trade war and broader technology and economic conflict, and John’s show is on every night now from 11 PM to 1 AM EST.  You can listen live by visiting this address and, again, clicking on the Listen Live link at the top.

As always, if you miss these two programs, I’ll post links to the podcasts as soon as they become available.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcasts of two recent radio appearances are now on-line, and both focus on headline-making China-related issues.

The first is a recording of my interview last night on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated radio show.  Click here for an incisive update on the fast-evolving trade and tech conflict between the world’s two largest economies provided by John, co-host Gordon G. Chang, and me.

The second reprises my session this morning with Frank Morano of New York City’s WABC-AM radio spanning a wide range of topics, from comparisons of the Trump and Obama economies to my new American Conservative article on China’s massive and massively under-reported efforts to interfere with U.S. politics and elections.  Here’s the link; my segment comes in at about the 7:40 mark.

I’m pleased to announce the publication of my latest freelance article – a piece in this AM’s issue of The American Conservative explaining why China’s interference with American politics is much more wide-ranging and successful than Russia’s, despite claims to the contrary by Democrats and by Never Trumpers in the Mainstream Media and elsewhere.  Click on this link to read.

Sharp-eyed RealityChek readers will see that the article closely resembles August 13’s post.  I don’t like recycling material, as the practice is known, but in this case, The American Conservative saw that piece and asked to run a version.  I was happy to comply because, as sharp-eyed readers also will notice, I was able to add new material that’s surfaced in the last two weeks.

Also, I’m slated to return tonight to John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated radio show tonight on the latest developments in the U.S.-China trade conflict.  Since during the CCP Virus era, these segments are pre-recorded, I don’t know when exactly the interview will air.  But you can listen to John’s show every night on-line here. Moreover, as usual, if you can’t tune in, I’ll post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

And keep checking in with RealityChek for news of upcoming media appearances and other developments.
