When it rains, it (sort of) pours. I’m pleased to announce broadcast interview number two today – a scheduled return to Frank Morano’s “The Other Side of Night” radio show on New York City’s WABC-AM. The segment is scheduled to start at 1:30 AM EST (that is, technically Tuesday morning), and we’ll be zeroing in on the amazing (at least to me) hints coming from the Biden administration that tariffs on lots of imports from China will soon be cut. But no doubt we’ll be talking some New York City sports, too.

You can listen live at this link.  But for all of you early birds and others, as usual, I’ll post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

And keep checking in with RealityChek for news of upcoming media appearances and other developments.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcast is now on-line of my interview late last night on Frank Morano’s “The Other Side of Night” radio show on New York City’s WABC-AM. Click here for a lively conversation on the Ukraine war, inflation, global economic decoupling, tariffs…and Buck Showalter???

In addition, a video is finally available of a Voice of America (VOA) interview I did last Monday, April 11, on the state of U.S.-China economic relations. Happily, the Chinese language service of this U.S. government foreign broadcasting agency is now offering telecasts that feature the English-language audio of non-Chinese speakers (like me) with the Chinese content in subtitles. So it’s much easier for non-Chinese speakers to understand that non-Chinese content than under the previous system, which featured simultaneous Chinese translation over the interviewees’ barely audible voice.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m scheduled to return tonight to Frank Morano’s “The Other Side of Night” radio show on New York City’s WABC-AM. The segment is scheduled to start at 1:30 AM EST (so yes, it’s technically Tuesday morning), and the agenda will be wide-ranging: Ukraine, inflation, North Korea (which has been posing new national security threats lately) – and maybe a little on the (not so hot) New York City pro sports scene thrown in!

You can listen live at this link.  But if your bedtime comes too early, as usual, I’ll post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcast is now on-line of an interview last night in the wee hours on New York City’s WABC-AM’s “Other Side of Midnight” program. Click here for a timely conversation with host Frank Morano on the possibility of a Trump impeachment, the political impact of the Capitol riot, and what the latest official U.S. trade report told us about the health of the economy and the effects of Mr. Trump’s tariff-centric policies. (You’ll see my segment right at the top.)

In addition, I’ll be discussing the same subjects later today on Moe Ansari’s nationally syndicated “Market Wrap” radio show. Click here and then on the “listen live” link on the right starting at a few minutes before 8 PM EST. My segment will probably begin about halfway into the hour-long program. And if you can’t tune in, as usual I’ll be posting a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

As for the correction, in yesterday’s post laying out the case against impeaching the President, I stated that the Mueller report into the Trump-Russia collusion charges presented on p. 89 of its second volume the argument that mitigating against accusing Mr. Trump of obstruction of justice was abundant evidence that the President lacked criminal or corrupt intent.

This argument was indeed made, but not on that page. Instead, you’ll find on pp. 7, 47, 51, 56, 57, 62, 76, 97 and 157, descriptions of episodes indicating that the President acted out of a genuine belief that he was being framed and due to other legitimate considerations.  And on p. 7, you’ll find the explanation that the obstruction statues require “consideration of [such] motives for his conduct.”  You can also read these passages in this post.

I apologize for the error and for any confusion caused. Thanks to the careful, sharp-eyed reader who caught the mistake!

Blue Wave, election 2020, Frank Morano, Joe Biden, Making News, The National Interest, The Other Side of Midnight, Trump, WABC AM

I’m pleased to announce two new media hits during the last week. First, yesterday, The National Interest published an essay of mine setting out some initial thoughts on where American politics stands in the immediate aftermath of Joe Biden’s apparent election as President and the failure of a widely predicted Blue Wave to crush Trump-ism or swamp the House and Senate. Here’s the link. It’s a modified version of my Wednesday RealityChek post, but I think regulars will find it a valuable read along, with others.

Second, in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Frank Morano interviewed me on the new political landscape on his WABC-AM New York City radio show “The Other Side of Midnight.” The podcast wasn’t posted till yesterday, but you can listen to the segment at this site. Click on the topmost “The Election is still not over….” episode. My segment begins at about the 23:40 mark.

I was hoping to post a podcast of my interview last night on Frank Morano’s WABC-AM New York City radio show, but “technical difficulties” unfortunately kept on interrupting the segment. What a shame, because when our connection was working, we not only got in some good exchanges about my recent articles on America’s lost lead in semiconductor manufacturing and on (offbase) charges that President Trump is a phony populist. We also provided blinding insights about the state of play of billionaire Steve Cohen’s purchase of the New York Mets!

So I’ll hope to return to Frank’s show soon. And in the meantime, keep checking in with RealityChek for news of upcoming media appearances and other developments.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m scheduled to appear tonight (technically, Thursday morning) on Frank Morano’s “The Other Side of Midnight” program on New York City’s WABC-AM radio. The segment, slated to start at 1:30 AM, will deal a wide range of subjects – the upcoming Presidential Debate pitting Donald Trump versus Joe Biden, America’s loss of global tech manufacturing leadership, and charges that Trump is a phony working class champion. (Yes, the latter two have been subjects of recent freelance articles.)

You can listen live by clicking this link, and then pressing one of the Play buttons on top. If you can’t – or won’t – stay up that late, I’ll post a link to the podcast as soon as one’s available.

I’m pleased to announce that the podcasts of my interviews Wednesday on national and New York City radio are now available on-line for your listening pleasure!

The first, on Frank Morano’s program on New York City’s WABC-AM, dealt with indications that the Chinese government is funding a Black Lives Matter-type group.  Listen by clicking here, and then on the September 23 link.  My segment begins at about the 31-minute mark.  And special bonuses!  We get into the fine points of the New York City Major League Baseball scene, and sound off on a running debate on Mexican cuisine!

The second, on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated nightly show, covers the latest developments in the intensifying U.S.-China economic conflict, how it may affect the U.S. presidential election – and vice versa.  Click here for a timely discussion among John, co-host Gordon G. Chang, and me.

China, election 2020, election interference, Frank Morano, Making News, The John Batchelor Show, Trade, trade war, WABC AM

I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be appearing on major radio stations twice today.  The first interview, with Frank Morano on New York City’s WABC-AM, is slated to air at 10:40 AM EST, and will focus on China’s efforts to interfere with this year’s U.S. presidential election and in American politics more broadly.  Click here and then on the link at the top of the home page to listen live on-line.

The second will air tonight on John Batchelor’s nationally syndicated program.  The exact time is still up in the air, since John has needed to pre-record segments during the CCP Virus period.  But the subject will be an update on the rapidly intensifying U.S.-China trade war and broader technology and economic conflict, and John’s show is on every night now from 11 PM to 1 AM EST.  You can listen live by visiting this address and, again, clicking on the Listen Live link at the top.

As always, if you miss these two programs, I’ll post links to the podcasts as soon as they become available.

And keep checking in with RealityChek for news of upcoming media appearances and other developments.
